Forbidden Friday (59)~My Poison Pile (61) + On the Blog This Week (51) + Tip of the Week (46)

Forbidden Friday is a blog feature created here at The Reader's Antidote, with my three features My Poison Pile, On the Blog This Week, and Tip of the Week.

My Poison Pile is a feature created by me. It features my current read and the next five books that I plan on reading.

On the Blog This Week is pretty self-explanatory, but I basically recap what's been happening on the blog this past week.
I'm going to do the last two weeks again.

THURSDAY
Tip of the Week is where I endow some random tidbit of information onto you, whether it's with books, blogging or life!
I was crazy bogged down with midterms (as well as driving to work my final days) this week and that's why I didn't get to post much. But because I now have more time to not be driving and I'll be taking on projects, not working specific hours, I'll hopefully be able to post more and not feel so stressed out about now having done it. I also wrote another post on my author blog. You can find it here: http://bellsbooknook.wordpress.com/2013/11/01/nanowrimo-and-why-i-could-never-do-it/ :)

Hmm a tip... Don't come up to UC Santa Barbara on Halloween. It's complete insanity, and I can guarantee you'll lose whatever people you came with to the onslaught of barely-clothed humanity. It's more fun when you live in the housing here (meaning you definitely have a bed to come back to instead of maybe someone's couch) and know how things work (aka, don't be on Del Playa street for long because you will get lost), but if you're coming from far away, there's really no parking and whatever spot that was promised to you on someone's couch may already be taken with someone passed out on it. It's seriously a lot of fun, especially to look at some of the creativeness of the costumes, but Halloween is so hectic here because of the influx of people coming in. So, my advice, unless you have a very good friend here who has either promised to give up their bed for you, or you already live here, then don't do it.

  2. I try to stay away from Halloween craziness. I love it but cannot deal with crazy parking and naked people. I have probably been to SB during Halloween at some point in my youth but now I am older and wiser. Haha. :) Happy Halloween, Nicole!
