Tempt Me Thursday (17)

Tempt Me Thursday is a feature created here at The Reader's Antidote, and it's basically like Teaser Tuesday on sexy YA steroids and then a synopsis of my current read.

Today is a steamy quote from A Darkness Strange and Lovely by Susan Dennard. Since this is from the ARC, it might be different from the final copy. Enjoy!

I loved him, and I would not let him walk away--not this time. So before he could draw back or change his mind, I pushed forward and kissed him again. Hard.
A low groan broke from his mouth, and now I knew my heart exploded. My brain, my skin, my lips--everything burned with feverish need.
His hands dropped to my waist, pulling my whole body to his. And now he kissed me, determined at first and then almost desperate. No matter how many times we pressed our lips together, it was not enough.

This sequel was so good, guys!! I literally just finished it and had to post this up. And now, here's my current read, which I haven't actually started yet because I just finished A Darkness Strange and Lovely.

What does it mean when your school is voted the most dangerous in America? It's time to kick some hellion butt...

After not really surviving her junior year (does "undead" count as survival?), Kaylee Cavanaugh has vowed to take back her school from the hellions causing all the trouble. She's going to find a way to turn the incarnations of Avarice, Envy and Vanity against one another in order to protect her friends and finish this war, once and forever.

But then she meets Wrath and understands that she's closer to the edge than she's ever been. And when one more person close to her is taken, Kaylee realizes she can't save everyone she loves without risking everything she has....

What do you think of the quote? Let me know in the comments!
