Tempt Me Thursday (9)

Tempt Me Thursday was created here at The Reader's Antidote, and it's basically Teaser Tuesday on sexy YA steroids and then a synopsis of my current read.

This quote, as a special treat from the Angelfire Read-Along (check the sidebar for sign ups!), is from Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton. There are no words for how beautiful and totally sexy this scene is and I think I've read it at least ten times... le sigh.

I tilted my chin up and parted my mouth until his returned, kissing me again, long and leisurely. He seemed too careful, as if he expected me to be frightened. I forced myself to relax and lifted a tentative hand to stroke his cheek and I kissed him back. His fingers trailed up my spine and brushed across my bare throat before threading tenderly through my hair, his thumb tracing along my cheek. When I didn't pull away, he deepened his kiss with a hunger, fervently, as if it were our last, even though it was our first. He finally broke free, but he didn't pull away. He touched his forehead to mine and closed his eyes.
"I'm sorry," he whispered.

There are seriously no words for the chemistry between Ellie and Will. What I wouldn't give to have the final book in my hands, guys... what I wouldn't give...

Did you like that teaser? Falling head-over-heels-totally-fan-girl in love with this book yet? Then you should sign up for the Angelfire read-along, hosted by me and Momo from Books Over Boys! We're discussing the book, having trivia questions and giving away books! If you want more after reading this quote, then you should pick up a copy of Angelfire and read it with us! If you don't want more... then there's seriously something wrong with you...

Oh, yeah, here's my current read!

PUBLICATION DATE: March 5th, 2013

A broken past and a divided future can’t stop the electric connection of two teens in this “charged and romantic” (Becca Fitzpatrick), lush novel.

Seventeen-year-old Vane Weston has no idea how he survived the category five tornado that killed his parents. And he has no idea if the beautiful, dark-haired girl who’s swept through his dreams every night since the storm is real. But he hopes she is.

Seventeen-year-old Audra is a sylph, an air elemental. She walks on the wind, can translate its alluring songs, and can even coax it into a weapon with a simple string of commands. She’s also a guardian—Vane’s guardian—and has sworn an oath to protect Vane at all costs. Even if it means sacrificing her own life.

When a hasty mistake reveals their location to the enemy who murdered both of their families, Audra’s forced to help Vane remember who he is. He has a power to claim—the secret language of the West Wind, which only he can understand. But unlocking his heritage will also unlock the memory Audra needs him to forget. And their greatest danger is not the warriors coming to destroy them—but the forbidden romance that’s grown between them.
