Spooktacular Giveaway Hop!

I haven't participated in one of these hops in so long! I think it's because they have themes and since I have a specific pile of books that I use for giveaways, they don't always fit the bill. While this one is kind of a free-for-all, I do have a scary book. Or at least my version of scary. If you're an old follower of mine, you know through some of my reviews and posts that I hate zombies. They're one of the scariest creatures out there. So, I'm giving away a book that has zombies in them, although they're the good kind that actually have functioning brains.

I'm giving away a copy of:

PUBLICATION DATE: May 10th, 2011

In the City of Lights, two star-crossed lovers battle a fate that is destined to tear them apart again and again for eternity.

When Kate Mercier's parents die in a tragic car accident, she leaves her life--and memories--behind to live with her grandparents in Paris. For Kate, the only way to survive her pain is escaping into the world of books and Parisian art. Until she meets Vincent.

Mysterious, charming, and devastatingly handsome, Vincent threatens to melt the ice around Kate's guarded heart with just his smile. As she begins to fall in love with Vincent, Kate discovers that he's a revenant--an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save the lives of others. Vincent and those like him are bound in a centuries-old war against a group of evil revenants who exist only to murder and betray. Kate soon realizes that if she follows her heart, she may never be safe again.

You can find my review of this great book here.

Now, onto the giveaway!

As a warning (not that it makes a difference), but this book is the Australian version of the book. I wasn't very willing to give this up for a while until I won a signed paperback US version. I only say this because I don't want the winner getting mad that it's not the US version, even though the words are exactly the same as the US version.

  11. I haven't read a lot of zombie books, but I really liked Latter-Day of the Dead by Kevin Krohn. It was the first indie that I really enjoyed, and it was a clever premise. Basically, what happened was a zombie outbreak on a Mormon extremist compound - isolation at its finest.

Thanks for the giveaway and happy Halloween!
