Can you believe it guys? It's been a whole year since I decided to start this blog! AAAAHHHHH!!!!Thank you to all my old and new followers. You all mean so much to me. When I first started following blogs through blogger, I didn't realize the work it takes to start a blog and then actually keep it. I kept following blog after blog, and then I finally realized that I wanted to have my own blog. So I started it, and I remember the first thing I did was think of a catchy title (which was, of course, The Reader's Antidote), searched it to make sure it wasn't taken, and started it up! I originally just had the blog title (I used the Rock Salt font) and a transparent background with mountains in the back. Since then I've gone through a few custom headers and used photoshop to create meme buttons. I may pay for a designer to design me something some day, but honestly I love what I've done with it.
Here are some of the blog headers I've gone through:
My first review: Nevermore (Nevermore #1) by Kelly Creagh
My first event recap: Dark Days tour in Lansing, MI
My first IMM: In My Mailbox (1)
My first award: Liebster blog award
My first author interview: Gretchen McNeil, author of Possess
My first Building My Bookshelf: Building My Bookshelf (1)
My first blog tour: Airel~Arson~Pyxis Blog Tour
My own meme's:
Building My Bookshelf
This is a meme I've created here at The Reader's Antidote, which was inspired by the meme Dusty Reads from Giselle at .Xpresso Reads and the meme Books to Pine For from Kristi at The Story Siren. Here's what to do:
~ Feature two books I have on my shelf but haven't read yet. These are likely books that I would want to read if I had more free time.
~Feature two books that are on my wish list, one that is already released and another that will be released within the next year.

Forbidden Friday
Here's the deal with this "new meme": I wanted to make an easy title
for when I do IMM and my own meme My Poison Pile. So I came up with the name
of Forbidden Friday, and of course I made up a button! I am not
saying the In My Mailbox meme is my own, as it belongs to Kristi of The
Story Siren. I have simply put hers and mine together in one post and
gave it a general name.
My Poison Pile
This is a meme created here at The Reader's Antidote,
which features the next four books that I'm going to read next and a
little about why I'm reading them.
Drop of Poison
This is just a fancy name for mini reviews, but it's what I call them here on my blog.
Tempt Me Thursday
This is sort of like Teaser Tuesday on steroids and has more to do with sexy YA quotes, and then a synopsis of my current read.

That's it for today's post. Oh, except of course, for the GIVEAWAY! It's taken me some some time to figure out what exactly I should give away here, but I finally decided.
