Tempt Me Thursday (2)

This is sort of Teaser Tuesday on steroids that has more to do with sexy YA quotes, and then a synopsis of my current read.

This quote is from Spectral by Shannon Duffy, which I was part of a blog tour for. This is about 9% in, so it's not what it seems...

The dark haired boy crouched in from of me, his hand on the nape of my neck, pulling me forward with a teasing look until our lips were  hairsbreadth away.
"Kiss me," he begged as he traced my lips with the tip of his finger. He leaned down and placed his lips on mine, searching, the taste of peppermint tickling my tongue. I tried to pull away and he nibbled my lip gently.

Mmmm yes. I am going to enjoy doing this meme for a long time.

For my current read, I'm nearly finished with Insurgent by Veronica Roth. In fact, by the time this post is up, I'll probably have finished it already!

One choice can transform you--or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves--and herself--while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable--and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

"New York Times" bestselling author Veronica Roth's much-anticipated second book of the dystopian "Divergent" series is another intoxicating thrill ride of a story, rich with hallmark twists, heartbreaks, romance, and powerful insights about human nature.

What do you guys think of the quote? Have you read either of these books? Let me know in the comments!
