  2. Oh the cover for Destined is SO gorgeous. I never started this series. With covers like this, my resistence is swiftly breaking! I think I'm going to get them out from the library...

  3. Anna, Dreamless is going to be amazing!

Sarah, you should definitely start the series. I wasn't too fond of the first book, but the second one is amazing, and the third one is even better! Absolutely check them out.

  4. I totally think I will--especially now the final book is almost out. I love to binge on series and read them all back to back :D

  5. Yeah I love that too! I actually did that with the Twilight series and The Mortal Instruments series lol but I think I would have nearly died waiting for the next ones of those to come out

  6. I did the same with both of those series. I read all the Twilight books in 4 days, and read the Mortal Instruments over a weekend.

Oh. My. GOODNESS Cassandra Clare has an unhealthy affinity for EVIL CLIFFHANGERS. I can't imagine reading those books and not having had the next ones ready. I can't bring myself to read the Infernal Devices and the new Mortal Instruments ones until they're all published. I just *know* she's going to go all evil author on me,

  7. Me too, they're so easy to read. And she really does, it annoys me to no end, but I LOVE it! lol City of Fallen Angels has the most annoying cliffhanger--it seriously makes me anxious when I think about it--and Clockwork Angel has a lighter cliffhanger, but I get the feeling Clockwork Prince is going to kill me!!

  8. I love it AND hate it, if you know what I mean? :D

I actually know a bit about the City Of Fallen Angels cliffhanger (I'm terrible with spoilers), and I just can't bring myself to read it till I know it's going to be OK!

  9. Haha I so do!

I think if I didn't love Clare's writing, I wouldn't read everything she's ever written, but I can't stop lol it actually helps my own writing when I read her stuff

  10. Geh! I DO know what you mean. A lot of YA blends into each other after a while (writing, plotting, character development/choices/actions).

On top of that, not all of it is good. You might get a good story at the expense of bad writing, or vice versa.

Clare has both. She is actually really good.

Sorry, I'm spamming WoW post with off-topic series talk!

  11. It's okay, no one really comments on my posts anyway lol

I totally agree. YA actually has some of the most unique ideas, but it all seems to come back to the same thing. Clare has created this fantastical world, and it isn't dystopian so I love that about her world building. I completely envy her writing style! I constantly chastise myself: "why can't you write more like her?" and "why didn't you think of that?" It's crazy :D

  12. She's kind of amazing--it's infuriating. And she started of writing Harry Potter FF!

The world building is extraordinary--it's so real, fleshed out and expansive. I kind of get this Harry Potterish vibe from it, in that there's a similar level of creativity and imagination--the world is so vividly imagined.

She's incredble, but I'm sure you're selling yourself short :)

  13. It really is infuriating!!

And it definitely makes me think about Harry Potter with all the fantasy involved, but it's so different.
