In My Mailbox is a meme posted by Kristi over at The Story Siren, where you create a post of the books you either received in the mail, bought at a bookstore, or borrowed from the library. If you'd like to know my thoughts about IMM, check out the link near the top of my blog called In My Mailbox. Simple, right? Anyway, onto the books!
~Abandon (Abandon Trilogy 1) by Meg Cabot: Surprisingly, I have read nothing from her. I've heard great things and I have another one of her books, but I just haven't gotten into it. I've heard this one has a lot of mythology so I'm pretty excited. I won this over at A Night's Dream of Books, so a special thanks to Maria and the Book Depository. I'll likely be reviewing this one.
~Dear Bully, edited by Megan Kelly Hall and Carrie Jones: I bought this because not only does the money go to a good cause, but I'm making it to one of the tour stops for this anthology. Check out my signings page for the full author list and location. I haven't read any of the stories yet (so far I've had it signed by Lauren Oliver and Alyson Noel) but I love the whole idea. Kudos to the YA authors that agreed to open up to us. I'll probably give a brief review.
~Eve (The Eve Trilogy 1) by Anna Carey: I've already read this one (a special thanks to NetGalley), but since she'll be at the signing I'm attending this Friday I just had to get a copy. Granted, by dad paid for it but I still technically bought it. He should just be happy that I get so many free books from NetGalley. That's been my argument for a while now. I will definitely be reviewing this one, but the author told me to hold off on the review until October 17th, when she can get an interview out to me!
~Enthralled, edited by Melissa Marr and Kelly Armstrong: I bought this anthology because I had a 15% off at Barnes and Noble and I was starving for a trip to the bookstore (I've been having withdrawals since Borders closed down). It turns out that this is an anthology of short stories that follow the author's previous works. Jeri Smith-Ready's was simply amazing, and Rachel Vincent's annoyed the heck out of me. And that's as far as I've gotten. I already gott one of the stories signed by Mary E. Pearson, and Claudia Gray will sign it on Friday (god willing). I'll probably give a brief review.
Tune in next week for In My Mailbox (11)! And don't forget to check out the swag giveaway that's going on until the end of October (to which I've already added even more goodies to)!!
